Departments

Departments are led by a head of department, nominated by the Sector’s council, on the instance of the General Assembly of teachers and IATSS staff members attached to the department, for a 4 years term.

Each department has the mission to submit suggestions to the Vice-Dean concerning :

• The Teaching
• The Teachings promotion
• The Public communication
• The training offer and establishment of new programs
• The designation of responsibilities for Mention, Specialty, Course and UE (Teaching unity)
• The sharing of department’s responsibilities
• The sharing of teaching offices
• The profile of teacher-researcher positions
• The distribution of teaching funds
• The management of specific teaching rooms and teaching materials
• The allocation of the Educational Responsibility bonus
• The requests for delegation, research leave and thematic reconversion, the transfers
