Scientific sectors

They are administrated by :

• An elected Council (29 elected members, teachers, other staff members, students and permanent guests)
• A director (elected by the Council for a 5 years term, renewable once) who takes the title of Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies
• An administrative office

Scientific sectors coordinate the action of training departments and they associate laboratories, institutes and research federations

• General organization of the sector
• Allocation of funds
• Definition of the sector’s training offer
• Designation of the training managers
• The organization of courses and the procedures of control of knowledge
• The requests for publication, transformation and creation of IATSS and teachers positions
• The contracts and agreements projects
• Any question related to the individual careers of teachers, to the organization of their department and to their benefits system.
